Antonio's & Robert Di Nero

i haven't posted anything new in a while and that is mostly due to how busy i have been with life in general over the past two weeks. In addition to my job, caricature work, and my steven silver character design class (which is going really well by the way), one of the things i have been working on is this logo for Antonio's pizzeria. The father of a friend of mine recently became owner of an awesome little pizzeria in KCMO. They already had a logo in place but they asked me to do a little clean up and re-design to see if i could improve things. the one on the far left is the original logo and the other two are some of the proofs i gave to the owner for approval.

we have yet to make any final decisons on what the logo will end up being, but hopefully i can come up with something they will really like. with that said if anybody finds themselves in the rivermarket area in KCMO be sure to stop by Antonio's Pizzeria. It is seriously some of the best pizza i have had in my life, cant wait to go back and get me another slice of "Joe Pesci".

even though i have been a lot busier than usual i still found time to do a quick caricature sketch here and there. While working on the Antonio's logo i had the bright idea to do caricatures of some of the celebrities that have sandwiches and pizza's named after them. there were a lot of greats to pick from but i decided to start with Robert Di Nero, one of my favorite actors ever. godfather II, Casino, Goodfellas, Deer Hunter, Cape Fear, Once upon a time in America, the man is excellent in everything. hopefully i will have more to share soon.
