One of my favorite things about doing art is the progress you make as an artist. There arent too many things you can do that constantly provide you with some sort of idea of how much you have improved. I just like the fact that i can go to work from 5 years ago, 2 years ago, or even a couple months ago and see some sort of change for the better. With that said this here is my good friend Shawn. I did a less than stellar caricature of him about 2 years ago which you can see here, and i thought i would give it another shot. If you clicked the link above i think you'll be able to see the difference in basically everything. on a side note, in addition to being my friend, Shawn is a HUGE star trek geek so i felt i had no option but to paint him in the star fleet uniform. he got a laugh out of it, hopefully you all will enjoy as well.

I totally agree with you about the progress! And you indeed make great progress: congrat!
great job. Seeing progress is definately a great feeling. Keep up the great work.
Much improvement for sure. Great Job! great textures.
It's funny because I remember your first one and thinking how great it was and now that you've done this one, you really have come a long way. I love it. You were right. He took it with him to Kansas City today to show it off and at my baby shower, everybody kept telling him how great and funny they thought that picture was. You're awesome, but you probably knew that already. ;)
